Independent. Experienced. Always in Your Corner.
Technology Atlas was built on a simple belief: If you do right by the client, everything else follows.
Where We Come From
Technology Atlas was not built in a boardroom. It was built over 25 years of real work, starting at the helpdesk and moving through every level of IT: desktop support, network administration, infrastructure architecture, project leadership, and executive management. That progression was deliberate. Every role added a layer of understanding that the one before it could not have provided.
Along the way, our founder built and grew a successful managed services and project firm from the ground up, navigating every challenge that comes with running a technology business: hiring, client relationships, vendor negotiations, and the hard lessons that only come from ownership. That firm was eventually acquired. The acquiring organization did not share the same commitment to quality or integrity. It was a defining experience, and one that would never be repeated.
What followed was a decade plus of work as a technology solutions architect and consultant at some of the industry's leading firms, including a year at Microsoft deepening expertise in infrastructure and enterprise technology. Those experiences confirmed something that had always been true: most consulting firms hold their clients in high regard, but their ultimate goal is revenue. The client's best interest and the firm's financial interest do not always point in the same direction.
Technology Atlas exists to ensure they do.
How We Work
We have always believed that doing right by the client is not just the ethical choice — it is a smart business choice. That belief has guided every engagement, every recommendation, and every conversation we have had with clients over the course of 25 years.
It means we tell clients what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. It means we push back on vendors when they need to be pushed back on. It means we stay at the table through the hard parts, not just the planning phases. And it means we measure our success by one thing: whether your organization is genuinely better off for having worked with us.
When an engagement calls for specialized expertise, we find it, evaluate it, and manage it — entirely from your side. Our role is not to do everything ourselves, but to ensure the right people are doing the right things, for the right reasons, on your behalf.
What We Bring to Every Engagement
The breadth of experience behind Technology Atlas is what makes the Tech Atlas Advisory Model possible. Our senior advisor brings deep, hands-on expertise across:
- IT architecture spanning on-premises, data center, colocation, and cloud environments
- Network infrastructure design and management
- Data availability, backup, and disaster recovery
- Managed Services Provider operations and oversight
- Project and program management, including a PMI Project Management Professional certification
- Technology solutions architecture and sales engineering
- IT management and executive leadership, including roles as IT Manager and IT Director
- A year at Microsoft, working directly within their infrastructure and enterprise technology organization
That experience is grounded in formal education as well: a Master's degree in Management of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Project Management, giving Technology Atlas both the practical depth and the strategic framework to navigate complex technology environments on your behalf.
This is not a generalist practice. It is a highly specific body of knowledge, built over decades, and deployed entirely in service of your organization.

A Small Firm with Deep Reach
Technology Atlas operates as a small, senior-level practice with a trusted network of partners and specialists. When an engagement calls for additional expertise — whether in security, specialized infrastructure, or industry-specific technology — we bring in the right people. Every partner we work with is held to the same standard of independence, integrity, and client advocacy that defines everything we do.
